Tower Radiology Centers is excited to announce the installation of new scanning technology that combines advancements in MRI with the sophisticated engineering of a 1.5T 70cm wide-bore system, now available in Brandon at 427 S. Parsons Ave. Suite 100, Brandon, FL 33511. This innovative MRI scanner provides a whole new level of patient comfort and novel applications designed to minimize scan times, while improving image quality. It includes noise and motion reduction technology making the exam 75% quieter than a typical MRI along with metal-related artifact suppression for patients with metal implants and some devices. The shorter, more modern, wide-bore construction is less confining to patients, reducing symptoms of claustrophobia and is able to accommodate larger patients up to 500lbs. Keeping in line with Tower’s commitment to provide patients with the latest in diagnostic imaging technology, this new MRI scanner also provides specialized exams such as Prostate MRI and MR Elastography.
